隨著網路的蓬勃發展，帶著筆記型電腦到處上網，已成為現代人普遍的行為，然而處在不同的場所上網，總是面臨到修改有線網路卡參數的不便，造成許多電腦使用者的困擾。若是將個人筆電透過動態主機設定協定(DHCP)協定取得網路參數，只要一插上網路線，馬上就可以享受Internet的服務。因此，本期新知專欄特邀請本中心網路系統組陳副系統分析師昱甫介紹「動態主機設定協定（DHCP）」之原理與應用。<詳全文>
Having to memorize different network settings and modify our network settings just to keep us connected to the internet while we move through different computer networks is a very depressing experience. With the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol(DHCP), once connected, user's device will be automatically configure and connect to the network. 本學期校園通用軟體新納入Microsoft Visio 2010圖形化繪圖應用程式，提供建立組織圖、網路圖表或商業程序、UI 設計、人力資源管理、專案管理等應用，具有直覺式介面、繪製最新圖形、智慧型範本及繪圖範例等多樣選擇，有利於因應各類業務之繪圖需求，預計四、五月份開辦兩梯次研習，研習資訊屆時另行公告。<詳全文>
This semester, we add Microsoft Visio 2010 to the university software download list. Microsoft Visio 2010 allows the user to draw organizational chart, network diagram, business processes, UI design, project management and other applications, with its intuitive interface, and various updated features.

To better evaluate the teaching quality in NTNU, the office of academic affairs and NTNU ITC have develop a system to evaluate the academic quality of a course based on the judgments given by the students who took the course. The professor who taught the course will be able to see how the students feel about the course compare to other courses in the same department or in the entire university.

On February 22th we hosted an introductory course on operating Moodle platform for those new to the Moodle plateform. We will host more advance Moodle training classes in the March and April. People who wish to attend the classes please contact Center for Teaching and Learning Development in NTNU or visit NTNU ITC website.

SPSS 18 will expire at the end of march 2011. Please upgrade your SPSS 18 installation to SPSS19. All computer labs are already installed with SPSS 19.

NTNU ITC acquired the French Standards Association (AFNOR) ISO 27001 international standards for Information Security Management System certificate on Feb.14, 2010. The ISO 27001 ISMS certification is a recognition from the international information security community for our hard work to provide a secure and reliable IT service to the NTNU community.
